Glossary
Radius |
The length of a line segment between the center and circumference of a circle or sphere. This is the measurement required to fabricate moulding for curved surfaces. It is typically available as an inside, outside or arch radius. |
Repeat |
The number of times a pattern recurs on a length of moulding. Determine the repeat of pattern to ensure proper pattern match at seams. |
Rim |
Four pieces of decorative trim that join to form a circular border. Rims can be used alone or in combination with a medallion to give the illusion of a larger medallion. |
Rosette |
Molded ornament that tends to resemble a flower. A rosette is typically smaller in size than a medallion. |
Rough Opening |
A framed opening in a structure into which products such as niches and domes are set. |
